I spotted one in a forest full of dead trees and blurted out loud to noone, ” Look at that tree!’ and went on to capturing it’s brilliant bending trunk. Days later I spotted another and made a U-turn to capture it before dark. Gnarled, dead and irresistible to capture. Why? Because of how they appear complex and bare? Do they remind me of winter at home? Possibly? Why is the gnarled- long dead tree so eye catching to my perception? I can’t answer that. For now I will just follow this muse and see where it goes.
